The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled a new competency-based assessment framework that focuses on conceptual understanding and analytical skills instead of rote learning. The revised system will include more multiple-choice questions, case studies, and project-based evaluations. CBSE Chairperson Nidhi Chhibber stated that the new policy aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Schools across India will receive digital training to help teachers adapt to the new system by the start of the 2025 academic year.
