The Government of India has launched an ambitious 6G technology roadmap to position the nation as a global leader in next-generation connectivity. The project, spearheaded by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and leading Indian tech companies, aims to deliver speeds up to 100 times faster than 5G. It focuses on rural digital inclusion, smart manufacturing, and IoT-based city infrastructure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that this initiative “represents India’s technological independence and commitment to innovation.”
