The Indian government has launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission with a total outlay of ₹19,744 crore to position India as a global leader in green energy. The initiative aims to produce 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030, reducing carbon emissions by nearly 50 million tonnes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the mission would not only help achieve energy independence but also create thousands of new jobs in the renewable sector.
